Rajakaliamman Temple is situated 22 kms from Dindigul on the Palani-Dindigul-Madurai road near Kannivadi. It is very famous in the state Tamil Nadu. The place where the temple located is called Thethuppatti.

The guardian deity of the Rajakaliamman Temple is Madurapathi. It is said that this deity of shifted here from Madurai after it was partially burnt by Kannagi`s curse. Kannagi`s husband was given capital punishment by the king without proper enquiry and declared him to be a thief. There is another story related to this temple, as per it one of the 18 siddhars Bogar did reparation here before making the idol of Palani Andavar in `Navapashanam`.

The presiding deity of Rajakaliamman Temple is Rajakaliamman, who is seen with a sceptre in her hand. The sanctums for Bogar, Anjaneya, Navagrahas, Ayyanar and eight-headed serpent called Ashta Nagu can be seen here apart from the principal deity of the temple.

The unique feature of the Rajakaliamman Temple is that there are two sanctums of Navagrahas. One of them is in the usual way and the other in the Kochara style i.e. the Navagrahas are placed in the constellations they are at present staying on date. Navagraha Santhi Yagam is performed here in this temple.

The `Sri Chakra` can also be seen here in the Rajakaliamman Temple is, which defend against the evil eye. A flower festival is organised in this temple on Tamil New Year Day in the month of April. The `Siddhar festival` is celebrated in this temple on 18th of Adi (i, e, August). The Navaratri festival is also celebrated here. A large of devotees visit this temple, especially during the festivals. Town buses ply from Dindigul to this place.
